The Power Gateway: Releasing Pain, Reclaiming Strength
Beautiful Souls,
There was a time when I felt completely stuck—physically, emotionally, and in life. I was living with constant fear, trapped in a nervous system stuck in survival mode, and carrying the weight of a body I didn’t understand. I felt unsupported, overwhelmed, and anchored in the past. What I didn’t know then was that so much of my struggle was rooted in one powerful area of my spine—something I now know as the Power Gateway. It’s a space in the spine that affects so much more than just the physical body—and when it’s open and flowing, it can unlock profound healing and empowerment.
In the Spinal Flow Technique, we use a system of seven spinal gateways—each one acting as a mirror for what’s happening in your body, your mind, and your emotional life. The Power Gateway, located in the lower lumbar spine (L1–L5), is particularly important for those who feel stuck, silenced, or disconnected from their personal strength.
What Lives in the Power Gateway?
This area of the spine governs:
Digestive health
Reproductive function
Lower back and disc issues
Personal power and self-expression
When the Power Gateway is blocked, it can show up as:
Bloating, gas, constipation, or irregular digestion
Menstrual discomfort or hormonal imbalance
Lower back pain or disc degeneration
Feeling stuck, indecisive, or disconnected from your voice
Suppressed emotions, especially anger or frustration
Releasing & Rebuilding: Strengthen Your Power On and Off the Table
Through gentle, intuitive touch, Spinal Flow identifies where stress is stored in the spine—and releases these blockages to allow energy, communication, and healing to flow again. When the Power Gateway opens, clients often report better digestion, reproductive health, relief in the lower back, and a sense of finally feeling supported.
Healing doesn’t stop when you leave the table. Here are some powerful practices that complement this gateway and help you embody your strength daily:
Breathwork – especially deep belly breathing, which soothes the gut and grounds the nervous system
Movement – intuitive dance, yoga, or walking outdoors can help shift stagnant energy
Journaling – especially around times that you felt unsupported and/or why the past has such a hold
Practices like these and group sessions like my Sacred Rage offering can help open and strengthen this gateway—giving you a safe, supportive space to release stored rage, grief, and shame that may be lodged deep in the body. When we give ourselves permission to express these emotions—especially in a group container—we clear out what no longer serves and create space for deeper joy, clarity, and flow to return.
Whether you join me on the table or in doing any of these powerful practices, know this:
Your power was never lost—it’s just been waiting for you to come home to it.
With healing,
